I am so excited to share that in March 2023, I will be participating in my first medical mission with Blanca’s House in Guayaquil, Ecuador!

Stretching across international borders to provide essential medical care in local communities, each Blanca’s House medical mission has improved the quality of lives of people whose access to healthcare is minimal or does not exist. Over the past 13 years, 2,300 returning or first-time volunteers have provided medical and dental services for approximately 5,000 people in Ecuador, El Salvador, Nicaragua, The Dominican Republic, and Honduras.

I have been offered a unique opportunity to participate in Blanca’s House Junior Volunteer Program. Junior Volunteers are one of the hardest working members of Blanca’s House team, supporting hospital operations during the mission. I will be assisting in various tasks including patient intake, triage, data and medical notes input, patient transport, and wherever else I can help. Plus, I will have the opportunity to observe in and out of the operating room!

All volunteers share their time and pay their own way on each medical mission. I am asking for donations to support the ongoing funding needs of this mission as well as offset the expense of my participation.
