I am in my senior year of Nurse Anesthesia school at Hofstra University in New York, and I feel fortunate to have the chance to travel to Ecuador this coming January to provide anesthesia services for children undergoing transformative surgeries.
This experience holds significant meaning for me. Since my first pediatric anesthesia rotation, I have developed a passion for caring for children and realized that this is the demographic I want to dedicate my career to. Being able to extend that care to underserved communities has always been a dream of mine, and I am incredibly thankful to be part of this mission.
