Medical Mission Costs
We appreciate the time all of our volunteers are donating to our Medical Teams Abroad; therefore we take care of all of the logistics for your trip as well as the organization of the clinics in each area.
Your tax deductible donation for participation includes your international air-transportation from the continental United States, ground transportation in the destination country, lodging, snacks, any permit requirements, clinic, airport taxes and other visa requirements.
Not included in your donation for this trip are fees for obtaining your passport, vaccinations necessary for international travel, international health insurance, telephone calling cards, meals, domestic transportation to and from the airport, and your personal souvenirs.
The cost of a trip varies depending on the location and time of year of travel, but on average a typical mission costs each volunteer approximately $1,200.00 – $1,500.00.
Raising Funds for your Mission
We are here to help you fundraise for your own mission costs. By volunteering additional time in mission preparation, you can earn money towards your costs. For information on this program, please call our offices at (631)923-1053.
Additionally, many volunteers have great success asking for financial partners to participate with them as they travel to serve in such a worthy manner. We are here to help our volunteers fundraise by providing you with an individual fundraising page through our website.
Once registered with us, you can set up your own sponsorship page on our website that will enable you to request and track donations simply.
What we Provide
Blanca’s House brings all basic foundation equipment, medicines and supplies. Our volunteers are crucial partners with us and can participate in this effort by collecting in-date medicines and supplies as they prepare for their trip. Blanca’s House teams, as well as the patients that we see, benefit greatly from any and all equipment, medications and supplies that we can acquire.
Blanca’s House provides translators for all missions. Whether translators join our missions as team members or live in our host country, we work very hard to have excellent translators in sufficient numbers.
Statistics and Charting
Blanca’s House maintains health statistics on all patients through computerized data collection. This information is shared with the local doctors and hospital administration. This is an important part of the role we play in the larger health care picture of the country hosting our team.
